We finished our fall 2016 season with a bang with our Fall Finale “Dutch Masters” tournament at Metro North Park on Saturday, November 19th.
The Dutch Masters format is a series of mini games, with random team assignments (different rosters each game). Players earn points based on each game result. The player who accumulates the most points becomes the 2016 Dutch Master.
The girls ignored stiff winds (20-30 mph) and played a 6-game series of spirited mini-games, with some strong individual play mixed with smooth teamwork.
Bea won first place with 50 points. Penélope and Rebecca tied for 2nd place with 42 points each.
We congratulate all the girls for their enthusiastic and skilled play, along with their competitive spirit!
We also thank coach Hailey and guest coach “ET” for their help guiding the girls to uncover new concepts as they played. (Hailey should apply for a patent for her peanut butter and jelly sandwich analogy.)
The girls enjoyed a beautiful (and tasty) cookie cake afterward. As our new Dutch Master, Bea won the honor of cutting the cake and getting the first piece. We posted a video of the event below. Link: 2016 Fall Finale photos
