Game day notes
- Uniforms: Players should wear the uniform colors listed below, but also bring their other uniform shirts and shorts in case of a color mix-up or other unusual circumstances.
- Girls who are assigned to wear yellow uniforms should also bring their blue uniforms. There’s a theory that our yellow uniforms attract bugs. If we find this to be true, we’ll have girls switch to blue, and we’ll use colored practice vests to distinguish teams.
- Hydration: It’s likely to be hot Saturday, so it’s time for a reminder about hydration. Link: hydration tips
- Weekly quiz: We post a quiz each week below the team assignments. Scroll past the roster table for quiz details.
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in italic print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas
Field change: games move from MNP 2A-2 to MNP 6E
Updated Friday morning, September 16: Games have been moved from MNP field 2A-2 to MNP field 6E (behind the clubhouse, right side). Field 6 is where we had our summer team camp sessions.

Weekly quiz – the pullback and pull-push dribbling moves
Our current home assignment requests that the girls practice the pullback turn, and the pull-push stop and go move. Girls can win a treat after our Wednesday or Thursday practice if they can demonstrate the two moves, and answer the following question. When is the best time to use each move?
- To beat a defender who is in front of you.
- To get way from a defender who is in front of you.
- To beat a defender who is at your side (even with your shoulder).
- To beat a defender who is behind you.
- To show off for your grandmother so she can say “Yeah baby!”
