Game day notes
- Venue: We play at Metro North Park on the small turf field (our usual practice field) for the October 21st games.
- Guest coach: Hailey will be a back in the USA, but out of state. Our good friend Ally will fill in to help coach.
- Uniforms: Players should wear their gold uniforms. We’ll use practice vests to distinguish teams in the intra-Academy game. This allows us to easily move players around if needed to keep competitive balance.
- Weather: The early forecast calls for a mild early fall day — not cold enough for warm-ups, but not hot either. Thanks Mother Nature!
- Weekly quiz: We post a quiz each week below the team assignments. Scroll past the roster table for quiz details.
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas

Weekly quiz – group attacking
You can win a treat after our Wednesday or Thursday practice if you can answer the following questions about group attacking.
- What should our team shape look like? A square, a line, a star, a triangle, a diamond, a blob, or something else?
- When we have the ball, how many of our players should help the attack?
- When we are attacking, should our center back stay on her own side of the field, or move into the other half of the field to help the attack?
- If a teammate is attacking from the left side of the field, should you run toward her side of the field, or find open space on the right side of the field?
- On a dead ball kick restart, where should you pass the ball?
