Game day notes
- About game days: This is our first game day in 3+ months. We ask that parents and their daughters spend 10 minutes together reviewing what happens on game days, along with understanding player and parent responsibilities and guidelines. Links: what to expect on game day #1 / general game day procedures and guidelines
- Away games: Three of our games are away in Dacula (north east Gwinnett), with one game at Metro North. Be sure to check the Location link in the roster table below for your daughter’s field assignment.
Away game field status: Our host (GSA North) normally updates Saturday field status by 7AM. GSA field notification channels:
- phone: 678-407-2100, option 1 (wasn’t working properly when we tested it Friday afternoon)
- web: http://www.dscrevolution.com/
- text: text GSAClubs1095 to 84483
Our normal NTH Junior Academy Girls weather communication channels will lag behind the GSA channels.
- Uniforms: Players should wear their navy blue uniforms. We’ll use practice vests to distinguish teams for the intra-Academy game. This allows us to easily move players around if needed to keep competitive balance.
- Early morning cold? The forecast calls for chilly temperatures for the 9 AM game (high 30s / low 40s). Link: cold weather attire
- Hydration: Hydrated players are more likely to perform well throughout the game. Link: hydration tips
- Weekly quiz: We post a quiz each week below the team assignments. Scroll past the roster table for quiz details.
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas

Weekly quiz – team names
Girls can win a treat after our Wednesday or Thursday practice if they can answer questions about our team names. Teams are named after the Georgia girls on the US Women’s Nation Team (the team that plays in the Olympics and World Cup). You can watch them on TV starting Thursday in the 2018 SheBelieves Cup tournament.
Team names:
Identify the first and last name of the each player, and identify her NWSL team. Bonus question: Two of these four players played in the United Quest Academy program in the early 2000s (before we became NASA and NTH) — which players? Hint: Each team name is linked to more detailed player info.
