Game day notes
- Weather: The advance forecast calls for mild weather: cloudy, with temperature in the 60s. Nice soccer weather!
- Uniforms: We have intra-academy games today. Girls should wear their gold uniforms. We’ll use practice vests to distinguish teams. This allows us to quickly move players around if needed to keep competitive balance.
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach(es) start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas
- Guest coach? Hailey (who has an alternate identity as a multi-sport HS athlete) has a track meet and may miss our game day. If so, we will recruit a guest coach for one of our 1:30 games.
- Mid-game roster changes: We will likely switch some players between Quest fields 7A and 7B at half-time of the 1:30 game. We’ll start with mixed teams for the first half, but may make adjustments to have “like vs. like” teams in the second half.
- Hydration: Hydrated players are more likely to perform well throughout the game. Link: hydration tips
- Weekly quiz: We post a quiz each week below the team assignments. Scroll past the roster tables for quiz details.
