Game day notes
- Field locations: Our first game is at Noonday Park field 9A, which in on the back half of Noonday (Shallowford Road entrance). The back half of Noonday is a l-o-n-g walk from Quest Park, so be sure to check the map to view the best route. All other games are at Quest Park field 7, our usual Quest Park practice and game field.
- DH Girls: We have more games than usual, so we have a few girls scheduled to play twice, also called double-header (DH) play. Girls who are scheduled to play twice have a (1) or (2) indicator next to their names.
- Uniforms: Players should wear their yellow uniforms, but also bring their gray practice shirts. Our understanding is that some girls have not yet received their yellow shirts. If necessary, we’ll switch to gray shirts to ensure that we look uniform.
- Hydration: It’s likely to still be hot Saturday afternoon. Proper hydration is important! Link: hydration tips
- Weekly quiz: We post a quiz each week below the team assignments. Scroll past the roster table for quiz details.
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas

Weekly quiz — passing with the inside of the foot
Girls can win a treat after our Wednesday or Thursday practice if they can demonstrate proper technique for passing or shooting with the inside of the foot, and also answer these questions about your approach to the ball when you strike it with the inside of the foot.
- Should you have the ball under your body, in front of you, in front of you at a slight angle, or to the side?
- What should you do with your plant foot (also called the standing foot or the pointer foot)?
- Should you lean back or lean forward as you approach the ball?
- Should your legs be straight, or should you have your knees bent?
