Weather update (Friday, March 1 @ 9:00 PM): Quest and Noonday fields will be closed Saturday due to waterlogged conditions. We’ve arranged to move our games to the Metro North TOPS field, but we have to shrink our original 4.5 hour schedule into a 3-hour window. Girls originally scheduled for the 10:30 and 12:00 games have had their games moved to earlier start times. New schedule info is posted below.
Game day notes
- About game days: This is our first game day in 3+ months. We ask that parents and their daughters spend 10 minutes together reviewing what happens on game days, along with understanding player and parent responsibilities and guidelines. Links: what to expect on game day #1 / general game day procedures and guidelines. Reminder: no jewelry!
- Uniforms: Players should wear their yellow game day uniforms. We’ll use practice vests to distinguish teams for the intra-Academy games. This allows us to easily move players around if needed to keep competitive balance.
- New players and back-ordered yellow socks: If you have not yet received your yellow socks, just have your daughter wear her blue socks or any other soccer socks that can cover her shin guards.
- Early morning cold? The forecast calls for cool temperatures for the 9 AM game (mid 40s). Link: cold weather attire
- Hydration: Hydrated players are more likely to perform well throughout the game. Link: hydration tips
- Weekly quiz: We post a quiz each week below the team assignments. Scroll past the roster table for quiz details.
- Captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coach start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas

Weekly quiz – dribbling moves
Girls can win a treat after our Wednesday or Thursday practice if they can demonstrate at least two dribbling moves to get away from pressure, and also answer this question: “What are the three parts of a dribbling move?“
