Weather update (Friday, May 10 @ 1 PM): The weather forecast calls for overnight and morning thunderstorms. If your daughter is due to play in the 9:00 or 10:30 games at Rabbit Hill Park (Dacula / GSA), be sure to check their field status before heading out onto the road. Ignore any messages from NTH — the NTH messages apply to games scheduled at NTH fields, not to away games for teams who travel.

Potential logistical hassle: We have no control over the decision-making timetable for away games. A few years back, we had a 9:00 AM away game, about a 45-minute drive from home. Warm-up started at 8:30 AM, so families needed to leave their houses around 7:40 AM. The host club canceled at 7:54 AM after most families were already in transit. Ideal? No! But we can’t control this situation, so we deal with it.
Game day notes:
- Road trip! Girls in the morning games play away in Dacula, which is up I-85 North and GA-316 East on the way to Athens. This is longer than our typical drive.
