How does this affect our Junior Academy and Academy groups at Metro North Park and United Quest Park?
The plan is to keep the Junior Academy and Academy programs park-based — players practice at their home parks — so there won’t be major changes with the Academy programs. Combined teams will be formed during summer 2016 tryouts for the highest playing levels at the U13 and older Select age groups.
Uniforms:
We’re due to start a new Academy and Select uniform cycle for the fall 2016 season. The new uniforms will have the NASA Tophat colors and logo.
Game day schedules:
If player numbers work out properly, we will likely schedule Junior Academy game days between the Metro North Park, United Quest Park and Tophat groups. (The older Academy groups already have game days between NASA and Tophat teams.)
How does this affect our Junior Academy and Academy on-line presences?
We’ll keep our current web site domain name and Twitter address, but will add the NASA Tophat logo and name to our web site. Content related to spring 2016 and older seasons will still refer to NASA. (If you go back far enough, you’ll find content that refers to our old Silverbacks and even older United Quest roots.) If we decide to change our web site domain or Twitter address, we’ll give all of our families plenty of notice.
