It’s road trip time to the Georgia coast! The soccer park has eight lighted fields, and has concessions and restroom facilities. (During warm weather, it also has pesky sand flies.) The Savannah Parks web site lists heated / air conditioned bathrooms with showers and dressing areas.

Directions from NTH fields

Driving time from Metro North Park or United Quest Park is just under 5 hours. This assumes average traffic and no stops; adjust your time according to your own plans. We recommend that you bring snacks and/or lunch, because you’ll go a long stretch of time with little commercial activity. Driving directions:

  1. Take I-75 south to Macon until exit #165:  I-16 East. (Do not take the I-475 bypass.)
  2. Use the left lane to take exit #165 for I-16 East:  Jim L Gillis Hwy / Savannah.
  3. Stay on I-16 East for 163 miles.
    1. If you realize your daughter forgot her shin guards, there’s an Academy Sports location off exit #24:  GA Highway 96.
    2. If you need to stop for food, the Dublin area has a variety of fast good and casual dining restaurants at exit #51:  SR-31 / US-319 / US-441. Timing is good, because your daughter will have about two hours to digest her food before you reach the soccer fields.
  4. Chatham County Soccer ComplexStay on I-16 East until exit #164A:  I-516 / W.F. Lynes Pkwy. The map to the right shows the last stages of the trip (the fields are indicated by the red pin near the bottom). You can click the map to display a higher resolution image.
  5. Bear right to merge onto I-516 East.
  6. Stay on I-516 East for 5.6 miles. During this stretch, I-516 veers left, then ends and becomes De Renne Avenue, also known as GA Hwy 21 South and Lynes Pkwy.
  7. Turn right onto Harry S Truman Pkwy and go 1.1 miles to the Eisenhower Drive exit. Landmark:  golf course on the right.
  8. Bear right to take the Eisenhower Drive exit. This is a long exit road, roughly 0.6 miles before you reach your next turn.
  9. Turn right onto Eisenhower Drive and go 0.5 miles to Sallie Mood Drive.
  10. Turn left onto Sallie Mood Drive and go 0.2 miles. The soccer park entrance is on the right.
