Custer Park is an older City of Marietta Park that was renovated and added to the soccer circuit as of fall 2012.
Directions from Metro North Park
Driving time is approximately 20 minutes from Metro North Park. Driving directions:
- Turn right onto Paper Mill Road, continue until Paper Mill ends at Terrell Mill Road.
- Turn right onto Terrell Mill, go 0.4 miles to the intersection with Lower Roswell Road.
- Turn left onto Lower Roswell, go 2.1 miles to the intersection with South Marietta Parkway.
- Turn right onto South Marietta Parkway, go 3.2 miles total, crossing under I-75. This will change to North Marietta Parkway, and you’ll also cross Cobb Parkway during this stretch.
- Turn right at a traffic light onto Fairground Road. There’s a large church on the left side of this intersection.
- Go 0.3 miles on Fairground. Custer Park is on the right. (There will be a tall sign for Turner Chapel, with a Parks and Rec sign just below: Ben L Custer Park.)
Alternate directions via I-75 (same drive time estimate):
- Turn right onto Paper Mill Road, continue until Paper Mill ends at Terrell Mill Road.
- Turn left onto Terrell Mill. Go 1.1 miles until the fork with Delk Road.
- Bear right at the fork onto Delk Road, go another 1.1 miles until you reach I-75.
- Turn right onto the entrance ramp for I-75 North. Stay on I-75 for 3.2 miles.
- Take exit 265: GA-120 / North Marietta Parkway.
- Turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto North Marietta Parkway. Stay on North Marietta Parkway for 1.1 miles. You’ll cross Cobb Parkway during this stretch.
- Turn right at a traffic light onto Fairground Road. There’s a large church on the left side of this intersection.
- Go 0.3 miles on Fairground. Custer Park is on the right. (There will be a tall sign for Turner Chapel, with a Parks and Rec sign just below: Ben L Custer Park.)
Directions from United Quest Park
Driving time is approximately 15 minutes from United Quest Park. Driving directions:
- Turn right onto Hawkins Store Road, go 1.6 miles on Hawkins Store until its intersection with Bells Ferry Road.
- Turn left onto Bells Ferry, get in the right lane, and go 0.3 miles to the entrance ramp for I-575 South.
- Turn right to take the I-575 South entrance ramp. The entrance ramp becomes an exit ramp for Chastain Road, so merge left onto I-575 proper.
- Go 4.5 miles on I-575 South until exit 267B: US-41 and GA-5 S. Bear right at this exit.
- The exit ramp is fairly long. Bear right at the fork to get to Cobb Parkway / US-41, then get into one of the left turn lanes as you approach the next intersection.
- Turn left onto Cobb Parkway / US-41 and go 1.1 miles until you reach the intersection with Allgood Road. There’s a Bojangle’s and QT on the near right of this intersection.
- Turn right onto Allgood Road. Go a short distance to a traffic circle. You’ll want to head left onto Fairground Road, but since it’s a traffic circle, you’ll circle around and turn right onto Fairground.
- Go 0.3 miles on Fairground. Custer Park is on the left. (There will be a tall sign for Turner Chapel, with a Parks and Rec sign just below: Ben L Custer Park.)
Alternate directions via Canton Road (same drive time estimate):
- Turn left onto Hawkins Store Road, go to the intersection with Canton Road.
- Turn right onto Canton Road, go 5.8 miles total. When you pass the I-75 exit and entrance ramps, bear right at the next fork to head toward Cobb Parkway / US-41.
- Turn left onto Cobb Parkway / US-41 and go 1.1 miles until you reach the intersection with Allgood Road. There’s a Bojangle’s and QT on the near right of this intersection.
