SFSC has a concession stand and restroom facilities.
Driving time is approximately 35 minutes from Metro North Park, and 55 minutes from United Quest Park. You can take the interstates, or you can go east through Roswell to GA 400 North.
Directions via I-285
- Take I-75 South to exit #259A for I-285 East (Augusta/Greenville). The I-285 exit has 3 lanes; get in the center or right lane to head east.
- Take I-285 East toward “Spaghetti Junction” until exit #31B: Peachtree Industrial Boulevard / GA 141.
- Take exit #31B to go north on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard (GA 141).
- Stay on Peachtree Industrial for 3.5 – 4 miles until you reach a fork with Peachtree Parkway / GA-141. Either fork option will work.
285 via Peachtree Parkway / GA 141 (less distance, but slightly more annoying traffic):
- Bear left at the fork to switch onto Peachtree Parkway / GA-141.
- Stay on Peachtree Parkway / GA-141 for an additional 9.5 miles. During this stretch, the road name changes to Medlock Bridge Road. Landmark: There’s a large hotel on the right (currently a Hyatt) about 0.5 miles before the next turn.
- Turn right onto McGinnis Ferry Road. There’s a shopping center on the near left corner of this intersection, with McDonald’s and Wendy’s on the far corners. There are also some low stone and metal John’s Creek signs.
- Stay on McGinnis Ferry for 3.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Kemp Road.
- Turn left at a traffic light onto Kemp. The entrance to the park is a short distance down Kemp on the left.
285 via Peachtree Industrial (more distance, but slightly less annoying traffic):
- Bear right at the fork to stay on Peachtree Industrial.
- Stay on Peachtree Industrial for a total of 16.4 miles. You’ll reach a major intersection with McGinnis Ferry Road. There are drug stores and fuel stations on the corners.
- Turn left onto McGinnis Ferry Road.
- Stay on McGinnis Ferry for 1.4 miles until you reach the intersection with Kemp Road.
- Turn right at a traffic light onto Kemp. The entrance to the park is a short distance down Kemp on the left.
Directions via Roswell / GA 400
These directions assume you’re starting at Quest Park. If you’re coming from the Metro North Park area, take Johnson Ferry Road to Abernathy to GA 400 North and pick up with step 7 below.
- Turn left onto Hawkins Store Road and go to Canton Road.
- Turn left (north) onto Canton Road and go 0.7 miles.
- Turn right onto Shallowford Road and go 3.8 miles.
- Turn left onto Sandy Plains Road and go 3.1 miles until it ends at Highway 92, also called Woodstock Road.
- Turn right onto Highway 92 (Woodstock Road). You’ll stay on this road for about 7 miles until you reach GA Highway 400 (also called US 19). During this stretch, the road name changes to Crossville Road and Holcomb Bridge Road.
- Turn left to take GA Highway 400 North (US-19).
- Stay on GA 400 North until exit #10: GA Highway 120, also called Old Milton Parkway.
- Turn right onto GA-120 / Old Milton Parkway.
- Stay on GA-120 / Old Milton Parkway for approximately 2.5 miles. Bear left at a fork to stay on GA-120, which becomes Kimball Bridge Road.
- Stay on Kimball Bridge for approximately 3.5 miles.
- Turn left on GA Highway 141 (also called Peachtree Parkway and Medlock Bridge Road) and go approximately 1.5 miles.
- Turn right on McGinnis Ferry Road. There’s a shopping center on the near left corner of this intersection, with McDonald’s and Wendy’s on the far corners. There are also some low stone and metal “John’s Creek” signs.
- Stay on McGinnis Ferry for 3.5 miles. You’ll see the soccer complex on the left. The entrance is a small road on the left at the end of the complex.
Directions via I-85 North
- Take I-85 North to exit #111: GA Highway 317 / Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.
- Turn left at the end of the exit and go approximately 3 miles.
- Turn left on Peachtree Industrial and go approximately 1-2 miles. You’ll reach a major intersection with McGinnis Ferry Road. There are drug stores and fuel stations on the corners.
- Turn right on McGinnis Ferry Road and go 1.4 mile until you reach the intersection with Kemp Road.
- Turn right at a traffic light onto Kemp. The entrance to the park is a short distance down Kemp on the left.
