Our Junior Academy Girls have been invited by the Kennesaw State women’s soccer team to serve as anthem buddies on September 11, 2022 when the Owls host Georgia Southern. (Anthem buddies are youth players who join the Owls team on the field for the pre-game National Anthem.)

This is an optional (and free) event. It’s an opportunity for your daughter to have an amazing experience, and also see a high level soccer game in person, up close and personal!

| Time: | Arrive in the stadium by 12:15 PM. (Check Notes below regarding parking and walking time.) We'll check in and get instructions. We're free to walk around until 12:45, when a KSU staffer will escort the girls down to the field to prepare for the National Anthem. |

| What to wear: | Our uniform supplier has not yet delivered all uniform parts. The pieces with the highest delivery rates are gray practice shirts, navy blue shorts and socks. So girls should wear their gray practice shirts with navy blue shorts and socks. Backup items: If you have not yet received your gray practice shirt yet, borrow one from a teammate after Saturday's game. If you have not received navy blue shorts or socks, have your daughter wear black shorts or socks instead. We recommend sneakers for the girls' footwear. Once they finish their "buddies" role, they'll likely want to run around the stadium concourse and up and down stairs. That's not a good job for soccer cleats! |
| What to bring: | Anticipation and joy! Girls should leave their soccer backpacks and balls at home. KSU provides player posters for post-game autograph seekers, and also provides Sharpies for the players. |

| Notes: | Admission is free for all fans at KSU soccer games. Parking is free, but the main lots leave you with a 5-10 minute walk to the stadium. Gates open at 12:00 PM. Our group's check-in is at 12:15 PM. The anthem takes place at approximately 12:55 PM. Kickoff is at 1:00 PM. KSU games are often streamed by ESPN+. The stream typically doesn't start until kickoff, which means the National Anthem isn't usually streamed. |
