The Tophat Marietta Junior Academy Girls program is hosting guest practices the week of May 15-18.

During guest week, girls who are interested in the Junior Academy program will get to practice with current Junior Academy Girls players, meet the Junior Academy Girls coaches, and see what the Junior Academy Girls program is all about.

First things first:  eligibility requirements:

  • Ages:  Girls who were born in 2015, 2016 or 2017 are eligible to attend our guest week practices. Older players should contact the appropriate coach:  https://www.nasatophat.com/tophat-girls-coaching-staff
  • Locations:  Players whose home park is either Metro North Park or United Quest Park are eligible to attend our guest week practices. (These two locations make up the Tophat Marietta branch.) NASA Tophat is the name of the club, which includes hundreds of teams. NASA Tophat has a web site that includes info about all of its programs. But it doesn’t go into deep detail about some of the smaller programs, such as the Junior Academy Girls. So we created our own web site for the Tophat Marietta Junior Academy Girls program.

  1. Select 1-2 guest practice time slots from the above table. (There is no fee required to sign up for a guest practice.) We have limited space and won’t be able to host a player for more than 2 guest practices.
  2. E-mail the following information to coach Ward. (The link will auto-fill a new e-mail header.)
    1. Player’s first name
    2. Player’s last initial
    3. Player’s birth year
    4. Requested day(s)/time slot(s): for example, Tuesday #1 and Wednesday #2
    5. If your daughter has a friend who is also a Junior Academy candidate, and wants to attend the same practice(s) together, please add that note to your message.

Example:  LiCec S, 2016, Tuesday #1, Wednesday #2

We’ll confirm reservations by email. If we get your reservation by 9 PM, we’ll confirm the same day. Reservations received later than 9 PM may not get confirmed until 11 AM the following day.

Data usage policy:

  • Our coach uses this data to schedule guest practices and create player check-in sheets.
  • We do not share (or sell) the data with other people or organizations.
  • We do not store a copy of the data on-line.
  • We do not publish player birth dates, parent names, phone numbers or e-mail addresses on our web site.

Guest practice checklist:

When it’s time to come out to play, have your daughter wear her usual practice gear, but no jewelry. (Shin guards are required.) Bring a soccer ball (Junior Academy uses size 3 balls) and plenty of cold water. Don’t be late, and join us for some soccer fun!
