April 30, 2016: We had our first chance to host an out-of-state team! The Vestavia Hills U8 girls came to town from the Birmingham, Alabama area as part of a mother / daughter weekend road trip. We played a friendly game and then hosted a meet and greet in the Quest Park basement, now known as Jay’s Place.
NASA and Vestavia Hills have a link: their director Rocky was the United Quest director back in the 1990s and 2000s. Here’s a photo of the Vestavia Hills girls and NASA coaches Copey and Ward checking out an old United Quest patch and a boys team photo with Rocky as the coach.
