Quest Park grass fields are closed due to soggy conditions. Rain is due to continue past 7 PM, so we have decided to cancel instead of moving practice to the puddle jumper court.
Playing at home:
If your daughter has an appropriate indoor play area (such as a rec room or empty garage bay, she can get in a good practice session at home. We’ve created video demos of most of these skills. Recommended activities below are linked to descriptions and video demos.
- Fast footwork using the inside and outside of the feet:
- Figure 8 dribbling: this helps your daughter with twist-off turns (basic changes of direction that don’t require any fancy footwork
- V-pull moves: these dribbling moves develop quick changes of direction that you can use to create space when a defender is facing you
- Dribbling marbles: this is a dribbling game that helps develop all of the above skills
