We are entering our final week of the 2018-2019 soccer year! We have our normal practice schedule May 13-16. We finish the season with the 2019 NTH Academy Cup tournament, where we’ll field four teams for a total of 12-16 games over the May 18-19 weekend.
Practices (May 13-16):
- We have our usual practice schedule, but we’ll likely run 5-10 minutes long on Wednesday and Thursday as we take group photos and videos.
- Weather: We’re in afternoon thunderstorm season. If weather is iffy, we’ll post practice updates on our Twitter account and phone hot-line by 4 PM (same process we’ve used since August). Link: bad weather communication channels
NTH Adidas Cup tournament (May 18-19):
- All of our games are scheduled at either United Quest Park (fields 7, 8) or nearby Noonday Park (front field 4, back field 9).
- If you have not yet submitted in-house fees ($19 per player) and/or tournament fees ($61 per player), please do so right away. Link: in-house and tournament fees

- Weather update: The latest forecast calls for hot weather during the tournament. You can help the girls handle the heat by ramping up their hydration program a few days before the tournament.
What happens after the tournament?
The soccer clock rolls over, advancing from the 2018-2019 year to the 2019-2020 year. Our 2011 players become age-eligible for the U9 Academy program, while our 2012 players are eligible for another year in the Junior Academy program. There are two upcoming events related to the new soccer year.
- Pre-tryout camp: May 20-23
- Tryouts: May 28-30
Why do the camp and tryouts happen so soon? Good question! Our governing body requires teams / Academy groups to be declared and registered by early July for fall scheduling purposes. The best chance to take care of tryouts and registration is right after the current year, before vacations and summer camps take center stage.
