Many local school systems have spring break the week of April 5-9, 2021. We’ll keep our regular practice schedule the week of March 28th. But we’ll adjust our schedule for the schools’ spring break week, and the weekends before (April 3-4) and after (April 10-11) the school break.
Spring break schedule:
- Saturday, April 3 — morning scrimmage: We have enough girls in town to have informal Saturday morning scrimmages. We’ll meet at the Metro North Park small turf field at 9:30 AM. Girls should wear their yellow game day uniforms with either yellow socks or crazy socks (and also bring their pink practice vests). We’ll have a brief warm-up, and then scrimmage until 11:00 AM.
- Cold weather alert: Temperatures at warm-up time are forecast to be high 30s / low 40s. Girls may want to dress for cold weather.
- Monday-Thursday, April 5-9 — off: No activities. (The vast majority of our players are unavailable.) If you’re in town, we recommend you play the “electric fence” game with friends or family to work on your trickiness and changes of speed.
Sunday, April 11 — afternoon scrimmage: We have enough girls in town to have informal Sunday afternoon scrimmages. We’ll meet at the Metro North Park small turf field at 3:30 PM. Girls should wear their blue game day uniforms with either blue socks or crazy socks (and also bring their pink practice vests). We’ll have a brief warm-up, and then scrimmage until 5:00 PM.- Monday, April 12 — we’re back on our regular schedule.
