Weather update (Saturday @ 6:45 AM): Good news — our games will be played as scheduled!
We have a set of three games on Saturday, September 18 at the Metro North Park TOPS field.
Game day notes:
- Hot weather / hydration: We’re likely to have hot weather, so it’s time for a reminder about hydration. Tip: good hydration starts before Saturday morning!
- Uniforms: We’re wearing our yellow uniforms for all games. We’ll use colored practice vests to distinguish teams in the intra-Academy games. If your daughter has both this year’s and last year’s yellow shirt, have her wear her new one and bring her old one as a potential loaner.
- Uniform not yet delivered? Have your daughter wear her gray practice shirt. If she doesn’t have either her yellow game day shirt or gray practice shirt, have her wear a light colored shirt.
- No jewelry! This is worth a regular reminder, because it can prevent spirit-crushing boo-hoo-hoo moments. Link: jewelry rule
- Warm-up captains: Girls whose names are in bold print with a (C) indicator are warm-up captains. They are responsible for gathering their teammates and helping the coaches start pre-game warm-up. Link: warm-up ideas
