Game Day: Saturday, October 14, 2023

Game day notes:

  • Road trip:  The early games are in Dacula at Rabbit Hill Park. This location is off GA 316 roughly halfway between I-85 and Athens.
  • No jewelry!  We will likely have a real referee. “No jewelry” is one of soccer’s rules. It’s a rule, not a suggestion. Link:  jewelry rule
  • Uniform colors:  We’re the away team for the early games, so we’ll wear our blue game day uniforms. Girls in the afternoon home game will wear yellow. We’ll use practice vests to distinguish teams in the home game.
  • 7v7 play:  We’ll play three 7v7 games and one 5v5 game. If your daughter is in a 7v7 game, we recommend you spend 30-60 minutes of time with your daughter reviewing our 7v7 document. You can clear some table space, get some board game pieces, and go to town helping the girls get familiar with positional names and responsibilities.
  • Sharpies help defeat the evil lost and found gremlin:  We’re approaching the time of year when girls in the morning games may want to wear hoodies and/or warm-up pants during warm-up. This is an ideal environment for the evil lost & found gremlin to strike. Please take the time to use a Sharpie to jot your daughter’s initials and uniform number on the inside tags of these items.

Sunday bonus game:  All available players are scheduled to play Saturday. The TH Marietta U9 girls have invited us to play a Sunday, October 15 bonus game at Metro North. Girls who are scheduled for the bonus game have a “+Sun” indicator next to their names below.
